Have a question about this trip?

What awaits you

When we talk about Morocco, what always comes to mind is the vast Sahara, camel trains wandering over the dunes and an endless starry sky with its Milky Way.

But Morocco also has an azure coast: an Atlantic coastline stretching for three thousand kilometres, an average sea temperature of 20 degrees all year round and 25 perfect surf spots along the shore. Whether you are a complete beginner or an expert surfer, there is always one to suit you.

The wind by the sea is very gentle and sets your hair streaming; the water is very cool and soaks into the skin like a tender hand; the sunshine is very bright, so dazzling that your eyes sparkle. Together we watch the sunrise and the sunset, the stars and the sea, as time flies by, and I wish I could stay here with you for ever.

When at last you stand up on the crest of a wave, the moment is beyond words, and unforgettable. The world seems suddenly to fall quiet, and the pull and the challenge of the waves seem endless.

Surfing is an extreme sport with a relatively low barrier to entry, the most dashing and graceful of water ballets, speed and passion between blue sea and blue sky, and it even gets rid of the flab on your waist, legs and arms.

Drifting in the sea with nothing but sky before your eyes, you suddenly feel your heart open wide, and forget the everyday world.

The waves are always there, one after another; there is no telling when one will arrive, when it will suddenly swell wide, and when it will be as soft as spring water and autumn ripples. We cannot conquer it; all we can conquer is ourselves.

General information

Before you sign up

Tamraght is a small fishing village near Agadir, at the centre of the area's 25 surf spots; there are 3 surf spots in the village itself and about 15 different surf spots within a 20-minute drive. Tamraght has some of the most consistent and biggest surf spots in the area. Devil's Rock is one of them: the great rock in front of the beach looks as if it had dropped from the sky, and it produces a very good wave. The sandy beach is an excellent place for beginner surfers. Another magical surf spot, and a signature spot of a surf trip to Morocco, is Banana Beach. When the waves are small, it is a spot suited to surfing beginners. When the swell gets bigger and bigger, the Banana Beach break starts to work its magic: big waves come rolling in, and expert surfers ride them here.
