What awaits you
The Pyrenees lie in south-western Europe. The range runs from the Mediterranean in the east to the Atlantic in the west, separating the European mainland from the Iberian Peninsula; it is also the natural border between France and Spain, and the small country of Andorra lies within it.
The Pyrenees have three national parks and one national nature reserve in all: one national park and the nature reserve are in France, and Spain has two national parks. The most beautiful scenery is all inside the national parks, which are also the highest part of the range.
This trip takes place mainly in the Réserve naturelle du Néouvielle, a national nature reserve, and in a Spanish national park.
Réserve naturelle du Néouvielle
The national nature reserve was created in 1936 and is one of the oldest reserves in France. Lying between 1,800 and 3,091 metres, it is a "mountain at the centre of the Pyrenees", a spectacular natural granite barrier between the valleys of the Gaves and the valleys of the Nestes.
Quaternary glaciers shaped the landscape here. The ice carved the granite into flat-bottomed cirques separated by "caterpillar-track" ridges; lakes formed in the hollows, and deposits built up into moraines. The reserve is famous for its lakes: there are 70 of them!

比利牛斯山是一个天然的氧吧，很多时间是行走在森林里，树荫遮蔽，不会很晒。每天都会见到颜色不同的湖泊，或大大小小的瀑布、溪流，有时候可以踩水或游个泳，是避暑的好去处。向导Laurent在徒步途中会给我们科普看见的一些植物的名字以及相关知识，十分生动有趣，属于现场教学了哈哈。如果当天完成徒步后有时间，还可以在小镇的附近体验泡温泉、spa、滑翔伞等，住的小镇圣拉里苏朗本身就是一个有丰富户外活动的旅游小镇。每日在湖畔边或山谷中的午后小憩，成片的野生蓝莓丛和随处可见的树莓，山间草丛石缝中流出的可饮用的天然泉水，一路上看见的怡然自得的牛和马，远处山坡上偶尔探出窝活动几下的土拨鼠...这不仅是一次流连忘返的徒步经历，更给人以一种在大自然中度假的感觉。

Pyrénées 是个神奇的地方,尽管只是短短的五日徒步旅行,也很难不被它的自然风光所吸引。从大名鼎鼎的GR10,再到星罗棋布的高山湖泊和层层叠叠的壮观瀑布,最远处还能看到山上的积雪和冰川,一路的风景都极具层次感。虽然有时会历经略微暴汗的爬坡,但是当最美的山谷湖泊映入眼帘时,心里还是满满的成就感,提醒自己之前一切的努力和坚持都是值得的。每天最悠闲的时光莫过于午餐后在湖边花香包围的草地上小憩片刻,阳光透过树叶洒下来,大家静静的躺着,懒洋洋的享受着美好的时光。下午徒步后再去湖里泡个脚,顿时神清气爽,元气满满的感觉自己还能再走15公里:)在悬崖峭壁上俯瞰大自然的鬼斧神工,在大瀑布前呼吸山间最清冽的空气,在山谷里听潺潺的溪流看蝴蝶飞舞,在高山Lac d’Espingo游的第一次泳,从Lac d’Aumar给自己寄回的一张明信片,欣赏壮丽的群山和小动物们近距离交流, 每一个瞬间都是满满的回忆和下一次再出发的动力。最后感谢我们的向导Laurent 他的专业让我们的Randonnée如此完美 Merci

Bareilles valley hike
After breakfast we drive to today's hiking destination, the Bareilles valley. Mountain ranges without end, magnificent gorges, lush plains and blue lakes scattered among the mountains: this is the everyday scenery of the Pyrenees. Leaving the vehicle, we thread our way through the woods of the valley, pass the Bareilles lake and climb all the way to the Lion peak. From here you can take in a panorama of the many high peaks of the Pyrenees.

After breakfast we drive to today's hiking destination, the Bareilles valley. If the whole group is reasonably fit, the guide will arrange an ascent of Le Soum de Montpelat (alt. 2474m), to look out over all the lakes from on high.

After breakfast we drive to the Spanish side of the Pyrenees to hike. Once the vehicle has brought us to the Pineta valley we start walking, and go all the way to the north side of Mont Perdu. Mont Perdu, at 3,355 metres, is a limestone peak, and the site is on UNESCO's World Heritage list as both a cultural and a natural property. This majestic, spectacular mountain landscape straddles the present-day border between France and Spain. On the Spanish side are the two largest and deepest canyons in Europe, while on the steeper northern slopes, on the French side, are three great cirque walls, which fully represent the geology and landforms of the area.

After breakfast we drive to the Spanish side of the Pyrenees to hike. Once the vehicle has brought us to the Pineta valley we start walking, and go all the way to the north side of Mont Perdu. Today's hike takes us back to the Réserve naturelle du Néouvielle national nature reserve: we walk to the Lac de Bastan (alt. 2140m), a route recommended in the book "Pyrénées Centrales Francaises: Arrens - Seix" as one of the most beautiful hikes in the Pyrenees. If everyone's fitness allows, the guide will take the group to the summit of the Pichaleye peak (alt. 2626m).

Fees kept if the client cancels, by the date of the request (current schedule, Terms of sale, art. 10):
- 76 days or more before departure: Full refund
- 41 to 75 days before departure: 70% cancellation fee
- 40 days or less before departure: No refund
If you cancel, invitation letter fees (30€ per letter issued) are not refunded; they are refunded if we cancel the trip or the contract is terminated because of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances.

Before you sign up
Accommodation is in the town of Saint-Lary-Soulan, in two 3-star apartments. Shared facilities include a swimming pool, a sauna, a steam room and so on. Supermarkets, restaurants, shops and the like are within walking distance.
